ILUSTRATED MONOGRAPHY AND A NEW ART EXHIBITION OF MIŠA MIHAJLO KRAVCEV in english and serbian

I don’t want to paint anything that any phone or camera can do better than I do, I only paint what no computer,  as well as never one device, will ever be able to achieve. I paint pure emotion. ”

Miša Mihajlo Kravcev

One of the most prolific Serbian painters, highly ranked in the world art market, Miša Mihajlo Kravcev, is exhibiting again in Belgrade!

The exhibition, which will be opened on Tuesday, November 12th  2019 at 8pm, in the premises of the former Eurosalon Exlusive furniture salon, in Kralja Milana Street No. 2 in Belgrade, on the corner with Andrićev Venac, right near the palace, will envisage about 50 oil paintings and 17 works of other techniques, such as sketches, watercolors, drawings, less known to the public. The exhibition itself will run until December 12th 2019.

The direct occasion for this exhibition is a great illustrated monography featuring artworks by this famous artist of incredible creative energy, whose works are in various private collections around the world, to be edited by Dereta. The editor of the monography is Aleksamdar Šurbatović, and its texts have been signed by various connoisseurs, first of all Giorgio Grasso, one of the most influential European art critics and art historians and permanent selector of the Venice Biennale, at whose invitation Miša exhibited in Milan.

At the opening night of the exhibition, many admirers of this artist’s work will have the opportunity to buy this monography, in a luxury edition, at a special discount, and a day later, it will appear in bookstores.

The monography reveals much of this artist’s oeuvre, and at his personal request was written, not in the incomprehensible language common to a such occasions, but with the idea of being smoothly potable, receptive, and accompanied with interest. And apart from a large number of illustrations, texts in it were signed by: Djordjo Graso, one of the most influential European critics and permanent selector of the Venice Biennale, Maja Zivanovic, Mirjana Zivkovic and others.

Despite having a lot of fans, a large section of the audience had possibility to watch my works so far through the media or social networks. This time, they will be able to see them and feel them in vivo, in this great downtown space, where they will be able to have a complete experience of my art, as well as the fifth dimension that my paintings are famous for”, the author points out.

I think that my first painting monography will be sought after and read, first of all, because it is edited and written, not in the incomprehensible language, common for such occasions, but with the idea that it is potable, receptive and can be followed with interest.

Art belongs to everyone, not just some so-called, good connoisseurs.

For many times I have been told, roughly – I do not much understand painting, but I like your paintings very much.

Everyone who owns a life and who feels their senses understands painting.

I do not want to paint anything that any phone or camera can do better than I do, I only paint what no computer as well as no device will ever be able to achieve. I paint pure emotion.”
